Women’s Soccer Falls at Kean University (N.J.), 8-1

UNION, N.J. – Elms College junior goalkeeper Hayley Zisk (Baldwinville, Mass.) made four saves, but five first-half scores helped pace Kean University (N.J.) to an 8-1 victory over the Blazers in Friday afternoon's Cougar Classic women's soccer game in Union, N.J.

With the loss, Elms starts its season 0-1, while Kean moves to 1-0 overall.

Deanna Columbia (Howell, N.J.) led Kean with a pair of goals, one in each half, as the Cougars received goals from seven different players. Sam Marchetti (Wall Township, N.J.) added two assists in the winning effort.

Blazers junior midfield Victoria Cebula (Granby, Mass.) tallied Elms' lone goal in the contest, striking at the 56:08 mark of the game. 

Elms returns to Cougar Classic action on Saturday, Sept. 1 with an 11:00 a.m. contest against Richard Stockton College.
