Parks Named to NEWBA Weekly Honor Roll
SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - Elms College freshman forward Denisha Parks (Fall River, Mass.) was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the organization on Monday.
Parks earned her second NEWBA Weekly Honor Roll nod and sixth overall NEWBA accolade during a 1-1 week for the Blazers. She scored 42 points including 22 in a loss to Becker College and a game-high 20 points in a win over Wheelock College. Parks totaled 21 rebounds during the stretch including a game-high 13 against the Hawks and a tie for the game-high (eight) against the Wildcats. She was also 10 of 12 from the free throw line against Becker and finished the week making 16 of 19 foul shots.
