Parks Named NECC Rookie of the Week
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College freshman forward Denisha Parks (Fall River, Mass.) was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week in women's basketball for the sixth time this season as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Parks helped the Blazers to a 3-0 week by totaling 51 points and 51 rebounds during the Elms' three-game stretch that also included a 21-point and 18-rebound effort against Bay Path College. Parks is currently the league-leader in points scored (286), points per game (17.9), field goals made (113) and free throws made (60). Elms is currently on a four-game winning streak and have now won six of their last seven games.
