NECC Men's Volleyball Pairings Announced

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The pairings for the 2011 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship men's volleyball tournament were announced by the conference office on Monday.

Newbury College (8-0 in NECC play) secured the top seed and will host the two-day event beginning on Friday, March 25-26 on the campus of Hellenic College in Brookline, Mass.

Elms College finished its conference slate with a record of 6-2 and earned the second seed in the championship tournament. The Blazers will square off against No. 3 Daniel Webster College which earned the third seed after recording a 4-4 mark in league play. First-serve is set for 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

The Nighthawks will take on fourth-seed Southern Vermont College who finished its conference schedule with a 2-6 record. Start-time is slated for 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

The winners of Friday's semifinal matches will meet in the championship contest on Saturday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m.
