Men's Golf Finished 15th at RIC Invitational

WARWICK, R.I. – The Elms College men's golf squad posted a fifteenth-place finish in the final round of play at the 2015 Rhode Island College Invitational, hosted by Rhode Island College at Valley Country Club Saturday afternoon.

The Blazers fired a team score of 351 on day two, finishing with a two-day total of 693. Sophomore Chris Miele (South Hadley, Mass.) finished with a share of 31st after shooting a 164 in two rounds. Freshman Brian Cowles (East Longmeadow, Mass.) claimed a piece of 60th overall with a 171, followed by freshman Mike Fleury (West Springfield, Mass.) was three strokes back in 68th with a 174. Junior Dan Olive (Jefferson Township, N.J.) shot a 184, and sophomore Ryan Finneral (Tewksbury, Mass.) rounded out the Elms golfers, taking 81st with a 187.

Williams College won the event with a score of 614, followed by Rhode Island College (633), Manhattanville College (637), Endicott (644), and Tufts, Nichols, and Western New England tied at fifth with a 647. Johnson & Wales (RI) and UMass-Dartmouth shared eighth with a 651, trailed by Husson (652), Babson (657), Roger Williams (665), Suffolk (667), Wentworth (673), Elms (693), Worcester State (695), and St. Joseph's (ME) (727) completed the event field.

The Blazers will return to action in the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational, hosted at Allendale Country Club in Dartmouth, Massachusetts on April 10th & 11th.
