Field Hockey Players Honored at Elms College Convocation

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College junior Meghan Goodrow (Sunderland, Mass.) and sophomore Samantha Alvino (Holtsville, N.Y.), both members of the Blazers' field hockey team, were recently honored at Elms College Convocation for their terrific work in the classroom.

Goodrow, a Communication Sciences and Disorders major, was one of two recipients of the Monsignor John F. Conlin Award; and Alvino, an Early Childhood Education major, was one of two recipients of the Monsignor John F. Fagan Award.

The Monsignor Conlin Award was given to two juniors for highest academic achievement in the sophomore year and the Monsignor Fagan Award was given to two sophomores for highest academic achievement in the freshman year. Both Goodrow and Alvino earned these honors for amassing a 4.0 grade point average (GPA).
