DeGrazia, Goodrow Garner NECC Weekly Accolades

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College senior women’s cross country runner Devon DeGrazia (Westport, Mass.) was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Runner of the Week and junior field hockey player Meghan Goodrow (Sunderland, Mass.) was named NECC Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

DeGrazia clocked a personal best time of 22:02 in the women's 5K race at Keene State College helping the Blazers place 11th/12. DeGrazia's time of 22:02 was good enough for 49th overall in the field of 152 runners and also places her 10th on the program's top 10 list for any 5-kilometer course. This is DeGrazia’s third NECC Runner of the Week award this season.

Goodrow paced the Blazers to their first NECC win of the season, scoring twice in Elms' 5-0 win over Wheelock College on October 5. Goodrow delivered two markers on seven shots on goal helping the Blazers pick up a solid win. This is Goodrow’s first NECC weekly award of the 2013 season.
