Women's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Elms College women's soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the fall of 2011 as recently announced by the organization.

To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The Blazers surpassed that requirement with an overall 3.31 team GPA.

Elms finished one of the most successful seasons in program history, totaling a 10-6-4 overall record and earned the team's first-ever bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.
