WORCESTER, Mass. – Elms College senior forward Jennifer Killion (Cambridge, Mass.) scored a goal but Clark University had three different players find the back of the net to help pace the Cougars to a 3-1 victory over the Blazers in Saturday afternoon's non-conference women's soccer match at Granger Soccer Field.

With the loss, Elms falls to 0-1 on the season, while Clark improves to 1-1 overall.

Clark struck early when Janelle Pasternack (North Brookfield, Mass.) delivered a pass to Hannah Moriary (Millbury, Mass.) who sent a towering shot over the Blazers' keeper into the back of the net to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead 17:21 into the contest.

Clark held its 1-0 advantage until the 69:50 mark when Jenna Zarou (Garden City, N.Y.) scored on a direct kick to lift the lead to 2-0. Six minutes later, Lucia Pantuosco (Somers, Conn.) corralled a rebound and scored the Cougars' third goal of the game to extend the lead to 3-0 with 15 minutes to play.

Killion broke Elms' scoring drought at the 80:23 mark with her first score of the season to round out the scoring for the afternoon.

Elms' sophomore goalkeeper Hayley Zisk (Baldwinville, Mass.) recorded 12 saves but suffered the loss to fall to 0-1 on the season.

Her counterpart, Audrey Eisemann (Worcester, Mass.) turned away two shots in the winning effort and improves to 1-1 overall.

Elms returns to non-conference action on Thursday, Sept. 8 when it travels to Mount Ida College for a 3:30 p.m. game.
