Lesley University Roars Past Women's Soccer, 5-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Elms College senior goalkeeper Kelly Callahan (Monson, Mass.) made 10 saves, but Lesley University received two goals apiece from Jenna Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) and Sarah Apgar (Andover, N.J.) to seal a 5-0 victory in Saturday evening's New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's soccer game at Edward Field.

With the loss, Elms falls to 3-3-2 on the season, 0-1-1 in NECC action, while Lesley moves to 6-3 overall, 1-0 in conference play.

Fralick and Apgar each scored a goal in the opening 45 minutes to give Lesley a 2-0 lead at halftime.

The duo struck again early in the second frame when Fralick found the back of the net in the 61st minute, followed a minute later by Apgar to give Lesley a commanding 4-0 advantage.

Kate Ryder (Glastonbury, Conn.) capped the scoring in the 69th minute on a pass from Jackee Sanchez (Santa Clarita, Calif.).

Veronica Halen (San Diego, Calif.) added two assists in the winning effort for the Lynx who held the Blazers to just one shot in 90 minutes of action.

Elms returns to conference action when it hosts Mitchell College on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Leary Field.
