Kristina Kopyscinski Receives NECC Honor

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College junior forward Kristina Kopyscinski (Agawam, Mass.) was honored as the New England Collegiate Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday morning. This is the first Player of the Week award for Elms and Koyscinski this season.

In a 3-2 non-conference road victory at Mount Ida, Kopyscinski delivered the game-winning goal for the Blazers in the opening minutes of the first overtime period. On the season, Kopyscinski in leading the Blazers in goals with five, and points with 11.

The Elms field hockey squad returns to the field in a non-conference tilt against Wheaton (Mass.) at Leary Field Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. The Blazers open their NECC conference schedule with a road trip to Becker College Saturday afternoon at 11:00 a.m.
