(Chicopee MA) Elms College Blazers defeated Rivier College, 3-0. The Raiders are now 1-6 overall on the season while Elms improves to 1-7.
Elms got the day started as they were able to net their first goal just five minutes into the contest. Imogen Leonard knocked home a pass from Kayla Narly to give the visitors a lead. Elms' Emma Morgan would add an unassisted goal just before halftime to provide insurance in the win. The third and final goal for Elms came from Alyssa Falvo who received a pass from Stephanie Esposito in the 42nd minute. Samantha Alvino stopped all four shots she faced for the team's first victory of the season.
Elms returns to the field Wednesday to face non-conference opponent Westfield State at 4 pm.
