Framingham State University Sweeps by Women's Volleyball, 3-0

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - Elms College junior libero Caitlyn Larvey (Greenfield, Mass.) totaled a match-best 16 digs, but Framingham State University's Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) finished with a match-high eight kills, and three other Rams had six kills to help cement a 3-0 (25-13, 25-9, 25-13) victory in Thursday evening's non-conference women's volleyball match. 

With the loss, Elms moves to 5-17 overall, while Framingham State improves to 19-4 on the season. 

Wan led Framingham State's offensive surge with eight kills, setter Maribieth Martin (Barnstable, Mass.) chipped in 13 assists and Morgan Drew (North Easton, Mass.) added six. Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) and Annie DeLoid (Plymouth, Mass.) contributed six kills apiece for the Rams.

The Blazers received four kills and five digs from junior middle hitter JC Pickett (Chicopee, Mass.), while freshman Carolyn Campbell (Millers Falls, Mass.) chipped in with three. Larvey was solid in the back row with her match-high 16 digs, while sophomore setter Shannon Bolton (Shelton, Conn.) chipped in nine assists.

Elms returns to conference action on Saturday, October 19 when it hosts Bay Path College at 12:00 p.m.
