Peguero-Flores Picks Up NECC Rookie Of The Week Honor

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College freshman Angelica Peguero-Flores (Springfield, Mass.) was recognized as the New England Collegiate Conference women’s basketball Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Peguero-Flores averaged 13.3 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game in four games during the week, highlighted by a 19-point, 17-rebound performance at Mitchell College on Feb. 8. She scored in double-figures in all four games during the week after hitting that mark just once all season previously.

The Blazers have their final three regular season games this week, visiting Bay Path on Feb. 13 before hosting St. Joseph (CT) on Feb. 15 and Southern Vermont on Feb. 17.
