Nine Blazers Named to 2024 Division III National Academic Squad

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released the 2024 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad Wednesday morning. The NFHCA recognized more than 1,880 outstanding undergraduate student-athletes from more than 150 institutions from across the country.

In order to qualify for the Academic Squad, undergraduate student-athletes had to achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.

Nine Blazers would be recognized for their achievements in the classroom.

Sophomore Alexis Barna (Agawam, Mass.), junior Elizabeth Franzoni (Rutland, Vt.), senior Abigail Lafleur (Southwick, Mass.), first year Rose Lewinski (South Hadley, Mass.), junior Kaitlyn Lynes (South Hadley, Mass.), senior Sandlie Moncher (Hackettstown, N.J.), sophomore Stacy Ochieng, first year Lily Sheridan (Ashby, Mass.), and junior Abbie Sierzego (South Hadley, Mass.) would each be named to the 2024 Academic Squad.
