Records: Blazers 0-3, 0-0 (GNAC) | Bison 2-3, 0-0 (CNE)

HOW IT HAPPENED

Nichols would start the contest with early offensive momentum, taking seven shots in the opening 11 minutes, until scoring three-straight goals in the next three minutes. Elms first-year goaltender Emily Hunt (Montrose, N.Y.) would stop four shots and had some help from teammate junior Elizabeth Franzoni (Rutland, Vt.) making a defensive save. The Bison would continue their charge scoring two more goals in the second quarter to go into the halftime break with a 5-0 lead over the Blazers.

Nichols would come out of the break with two more goals, but the Elms defense would continue to try their best, holding strong after two defensive saves from Franzoni and first-year Rose Lewinski (South Hadley, Mass.) and a handful of saves from Hunt. Then after back-to-back penalty corners for the Blazers, junior Kaitlyn Lynes (South Hadley, Mass.) would find the back of the net for Elms' first goal of the game. The Bison would continue to add offensive pressure and would score three more goals to secure the victory over the Blazers 10-1.
