Elms Swimming Earns CSCAA Scholar All-American Status

NORFOLK, Va. – The Elms College men’s and women’s swim teams were recognized for their work in the classroom on Monday, as each team was selected to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-American team for the Fall 2017 semester.

Both the Blazer men’s and women’s teams posted the highest GPA in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA). With an incredible 3.58 team GPA, the Elms men checked in at No. 6 among all Division III men’s teams, marking the second consecutive semester the men placed in the top 10. The Blazer women’s team posted a 3.57 team GPA.

For a team to be considered, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.
