Shalhoup Named NECC Player & Rookie Of The Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College junior James Shalhoup (North Easton, Mass.) was selected as both the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player and Rookie of the Week, in an announcement from the league office Monday.

In the opening tournament of the season, Shalhoup tied for eighth overall on the individual leaderboard with a 152 (78-74), improving by four strokes in the second round with a 74, to help lead the Blazers to a sixth-place finish at the Bill Detrick Invitational. Shalhoup posted the top finish among NECC competitors in the field.

Shalhoup and the Blazers will be back on the links for the MCLA Invitational Thursday at Berkshire Hills Country Club.
