CHICOPEE, MA - The Elms College field hockey team faced off against the Union College Dutchwomen on Leary Field this afternoon where the Blazers fell 9-0.

1st Half How it Happened
The Union Dutchwomen had an early start to the game leading the first quarter 6-0 with two goals scored by Megan Dorsey. The Blazer weren't shy of the offensive action and had 4 attempts that landed just wide of the goal by grad student Ellie Serra (Palmer, MA), senior Katie Jones (San Diego, CA) and a blocked shot from Samantha Bonneau (Skowhegan, ME).
Blazers first year goalkeeper Kaitlyn Lynes () defended the net for the first quarter having 3 saves, then split time in goal with Katelyn Volk (Warwick, RI) who finished out the game (45 minutes). The Dutchwomen led heading into the half 7-0.
2nd Half How it Happened
The Blazers continued battling against the Dutwomen, holding them to only two more goals early in the third, and a scoreless fourth quarter.
