Redding Earns Sixth Rookie of the Week award

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College freshman Danielle Redding (Las Vegas, N.V.) was selected at the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday. Redding extends her NECC record to six Rookie of the Week awards in first season with the Blazers.

In her final action of the 2015 season, Redding powered the Blazers offense with a pair of double-doubles, totaling 35 kills, 23 digs, and five service aces. In a five-set victory at Eastern Nazarene, Danielle slammed a career-high 20 kills on a career-high 55 attempts, while adding 12 digs and two aces. During the four-set season finale at Lesley, Redding registered 15 kills with 11 digs, three aces, and three blocks.

For the season, Redding ranks third in the NECC in kills with 228, and fourth in kills per set with a 2.75 average. Redding has the third-most kills in a season in program history, and third-most kills per set in a single season.
