CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College freshman Danielle Redding (Las Vegas, N.V.) was selected at the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon. Redding becomes the first women's volleyball student-athlete in program history to collect back-to-back Rookie of the Week awards.

Redding was the Blazers offensive catalyst during their run at the 2015 Plattsburgh State Invitational last weekend. In the tournament opener against the host Cardinals, Redding recorded a team-high six kills with a .385 hitting percentage. In a 3-0 loss to SUNY-Poly, Redding added three kills, two service aces, two digs, and a career-high four blocks. During a five-set battle with Lasell, Danielle tallied a team-high nine kills with a .348 hitting percentage, along with a career-high 20 digs. Redding earned All-Tournament honors for the second time this season.

Redding and the Blazers return to action Thursday night with a road trip to MCLA. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
