Danielle Redding Selected as NECC Rookie of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College freshman Danielle Redding (Las Vegas, N.V.) was picked as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon. This is Redding's first NECC Rookie of the Week award.

Redding began her Blazers career by averaging 2.27 kills per set across Elms' first four matches of the 2015 season. In her first career match, Redding tallied 10 kills and set a career-high with a .300 hitting percentage. Danielle added seven kills against Westfield State, followed by registering a career-high 12 kills with two blocks in the Blazers' four-set victory over SUNY-Cobleskill. Redding earned 2015 Blazer Invitational All-Tournament team honors for her performance over the weekend.

Redding and the Blazers will be back on the court in tournament play at Plattsburgh State this weekend. Elms will face host Plattsburgh State Friday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m.
