ATTLEBORO, Mass. – For the third consecutive week, Elms freshman outside hitter Danielle Redding (Las Vegas, N.V.) was selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office Monday morning.

Redding becomes the second Women's Volleyball player in NECC history to collect three straight Rookie of the Week honors, joining Amanda Wilson of Daniel Webster College, who won third in a row from October 5 to October 19, 2008.

Danielle led the Blazers in kills during a 1-2 week for Elms. Redding opened the week with five kills, two digs and block at MCLA, and then erupted for a career-high 18 kills on a .300 hitting percentage with eight digs and a block against Salem State during a tri-match at Curry College. Against Curry, Redding notched a team-high nine kills with nine digs and a service aces.

For the season, Redding has racked up 85 kills, fourth-most in the NECC, while hitting at a .230 percentage with 51, ten blocks, and seven service aces.

Redding and the Blazers will return to the court with a road trip to Westfield State Wednesday night. Opening serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
