Redding Makes Conference History

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College freshman Danielle Redding (Las Vegas, N.V.) was selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday morning. Redding becomes the first player in conference history to collect four consecutive Rookie of the Week honors.

During an 0-2 week for the Blazers, Redding continued to lead Elms on the attack, tallying 14 kills, 11 digs and four blocks. Against Westfield State, Danielle recorded a team-high six kills with four digs and three blocks, followed by a nine kill-seven dig performance at Castleton. For the season, Redding ranks seventh in the NECC in kills per set (2.33), and eighth in total kills with 100.

Redding and the Blazers will look to return to the win column with a road trip to Pine Manor College Tuesday evening. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
