39 Blazers Named Academic All-Conference
A total of 194 student‐athletes have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All‐Conference team for the 2014 fall semester. To be eligible for the NECC Academic All‐Conference, a student‐athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a sophomore or higher in class standings. Student‐athletes who competed in men's and women's cross country, men's golf, field hockey, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis and women's volleyball were eligible for fall NECC academic honors.
The Blazers had 39 student-athletes recognized as members of the Academic All-Conference team. Field hockey and men's soccer led the way with 11 student-athletes been recognized from each squad. From field hockey, seniors Kayla Narey, Meghan Goodrow, Hannah O'Brien, Allie LaMonica, Elizabeth Patient, and Jaclyn Soderquist, juniors Colleen Carbonneau, Haleigh Varieur, and Samantha Alvino, and sophomore Marie Lafortune and Stephanie Esposito claimed the honor. For men's soccer, seniors Josh DiNoto, Anthony Nitri, and Conor Rieker; juniors Joe Pellegrini, Patrick Goonan, Richard Vanasse, Roger Conklin, Brendan Reynolds, and Connor O'Grady; and sophomores Thomas Glasheen and Scott Labrie.
Women's Vvolleyball had five members named with seniors Caitlin Larvey and Christine Searles, juniors Alexandra Mack and Shannon Bolton, and sophomore Carolyn Campbell. Women's Soccer totaled six student-athletes with senior Gina DiGiovanni, juniors Melissa Welch and Alexa Rinaudo, and sophomores Meeghan O'Connor, Alexandra Forte, and Rachel Mick.
Junior Adam Kuzdzal represented Elms on the men's cross country team. Senior Rachel Lehouillier and Shirley Ryan, and sophomore Samantha White were named to the women's cross country team. Golf had two student-athletes named to the team with seniors Nick Smith and Alison Cowles.
