Men's Basketball Earns Second Seed and First Round Bye in NECC Championship Tournament

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Elms College men's basketball team earned the second seed in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship tournament for the third consecutive year as announced by the league office on Saturday.

Following an undefeated regular season, Becker College has secured the top seed in the NECC championship tournament and the Hawks (21-4 overall, 16-0 NECC) earned a first round bye along with the second-seeded Blazers (16-9, 11-5 NECC).

Becker will host the semifinals and finals begining Friday, February 24.

The top six teams qualify for the NECC Championship. Predetermined tie-breaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.

First round games will be played on Tuesday, February 21 at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the semifinals on Friday, February 24. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday, February 25 at Becker College.

Game times and dates are subject to change.
