BOSTON, Mass. -- Five consecutive second half goals helped propel the Wheelock College field hockey team to a 7-3 NECC victory over the Blazers of Elms College Wednesday Evening at Winsor Field. The contest remained tight through the opening stanza, as the Wildcats entered the break with a slight, 2-1 advantage. Abby McNulty evened the score at 2-2, 9:33 following the first whistle of the second period, but 5 Wheelock markers in a 4:03 span would give the Wildcats a comfortable 6-2 cushion by the 55:40 mark. Elms answered back when Julia Skoczylas (Ludlow, Mass.) converted a ball from Alyssa Falvo (Wilbraham, Mass.) with just under 10 minutes remaining, but the Wheelock lead proved to be too much for the Blazers.
