WESTON, Mass. – Elms College sophomore attacker Chelsey Grabowski (South Hadley, Mass.) netted a team-high four goals and won three draw controls, but Teresa Crevier (Milford, Mass.) led Regis College with a season-high eight goals to help lift the Pride to a 17-5 win in Thursday afternoon’s non-conference women’s lacrosse game in Weston, Mass.

With the loss, Elms falls to 0-8 overall, while Regis improves to 1-7 on the season.

After falling behind early, Grabowski scored four times to rally the Blazers, but Regis received a trio of goals from Ashley Hibbard (Marlboro, Mass.) and two from Evonne Orozco (Waltham, Mass.) to help pace the Pride to a 12-goal victory.

Elms’ sophomore attacker Katlyn Harrington (East Longmeadow, Mass.) added Elms’ fifth goal in the losing effort, while sophomore midfielder Sarah Picard (West Springfield, Mass.) scooped up a team-best three groundballs.

Crevier added four assists on the day for Regis, while goalkeeper Jillian Defransesco (Danvers, Mass.) stopped 12 shots. Hibbard collected a game-high seven groundballs for the Pride in the win.

Elms returns to New England Women’s Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) action on Saturday, April 10 when it travels to Worcester State College. First-draw is slated for 12:00 p.m.
