Last Meeting: Thomas College outlasted Elms 8-7 on Thursday, April 9, 2009 in the last meeting in Waterville, Maine.

Setting The Scene: Elms enters Saturday’s non-conference contest looking for its first win of the season. The Blazers fell to Daniel Webster College 16-7 in  a non-conference game on Thursday, April 1 in their most recent outing. Four different players scored for Elms in the loss, including sophomore attacker Kim Jodoin (Pittsfield, Mass.) who netted her first goal of the season against the Eagles.

Scouting The Opposition: Thomas enters Saturday’s contest having won one of its first three games to start the 2010 season. The Terriers’ lone victory came against Daniel Webster when they downed the Eagles 13-5 on March 27. Kiley Jolicoeur (Oakland, Maine) paced Thomas with seven scores, while Megan Denby (Copiague, N.Y.) and Kristalynn Kidd (Plainfield, Conn.) notched three and two goals respectively. Denby and Kidd also added an assist each in the squad’s first victory of the season. First-year goalie Teshia Cates (Skowhegan, Maine) stopped nine shots against Daniel Webster.

Dazzling Duo: Against Daniel Webster, sophomore attacker Katlyn Harrington (East Longmeadow, Mass.) scored three times, while junior attacker Jennifer Lough (Feeding Hills, Mass.) struck for two goals. Harrington and Lough have each found the back of the net four times this season to lead Elms’ offensive efforts.

Last Time Out Against Thomas: In the Blazers’ tough 8-7 loss to Thomas a season ago, Lough and Harrington combined for six of the team’s seven goals. Lough tallied four of the six, including two straight to knot the contest at 6-6. However, the Terriers scored twice in the final 10 minutes to secure its one-point victory.

A Glance Ahead: Following Saturday's matchup with Thomas at Leary Field, just three of the Blazers’ eight remaining regular season games will be played at home. Elms will play three games in six days (April 14-20) on its home turf against Pine Manor College (April 14), Bridgewater State College (April 17) and St. Joseph College (Conn.) on April 20.
