Parks Named to NEWBA Weekly Honor Roll
CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College junior forward Denisha Parks (Fall River, Mass.) was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Weekly Honor Roll for the first time this season as announced by the organization on Monday.
Parks helped Elms to a 2-0 week that featured a pair of conference wins. She scored 34 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against Bay Path College in a 74-61 come-from-behind victory, followed by a 20-point, 10-rebound effort against Lesley University. Parks has now scored 1,558 points in her career and is 54 shy of tying Tenielle Hill's program record 1,612 points.
