Parks Named NECC Player of the Week
NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College junior women's basketball player Denisha Parks (Fall River, Mass.) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.
Parks, who has now been named the league's player of the week twice this season, helped the Blazers to a 2-1 week by totaling 22.0 points and 11.3 rebounds per contest during the stretch. She netted team highs of 26 against Wheelock College and 23 against Lesley University - both wins - and pulled down 16 rebounds against the Wildcats. She added nine boards each in a loss to Regis College and a win over the Lynx.
