New Haven, CT – The Elms College Women's Soccer picked up a conference point on the road at Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday night.

BASICS

Score: Blazers 2 – Falcons 2

Records:  Blazers (6-8-1) (5-7-1 GNAC) | Falcons (6-4-5) (5-4-4 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

In an even match throughout the first half, the Blazers were finally able to break the scoreless tie in the 36th minute on a goal from Emily Basua (Oxnard, CA) off an assist from Kelly Malheiro (Long Island, N.Y.) It did not take long for the Falcons to respond, finding the equalizer just 70 seconds later. Elms would have several chances to jump back out in front but were unable to find the back of the Falcons net.

Less than five minutes into the second half, the Blazers once again took a lead as Basua scored again, this time off a Malheiro corner kick to make it a 2-1 game. Elms would dominate the next 20 minutes of play but failed to extend the lead.

With the match in the balance for the Falcons with under ten minutes remaining was once again scored on a set piece, tying the game at 2-2 in the 82nd minute. The Blazers had a few late chances to find the game winner only to see the game end in a tie.
