Women's Soccer Places Four on All-Conference Teams

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Four members of the Elms College women's soccer team were selected to the 2014 New England Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer All-Conference team, announced by the league office Monday morning. 

Junior defender Michelle Rossignol (Manchester, Conn.) and sophomore forward Rachel Mick (Granby, Conn.) were chosen as Second Team selections, while sophomore forward Rachel Connell (Easthampton, Mass.) and sophomore midfielder Meeghan O'Connor (Fall River, Mass.) received Honorable Mention status.

Rossignol takes home back-to-back All-Conference awards, following last year's first team selection with a second team honor this season. Rossignol was the Blazers leading distributor with a team-high five assists with two goals for nine points, while anchoring the Blazers defensive backfield. Mick made 15 starts as a sophomore for Elms, recording three assists with 31 shots. Connell racked up 10 points with four goals and two assists, while O'Connor played a variety of roles for the Blazers en route to a three-goal season.

Shockingly absent from the All-Conference teams was sophomore Kylen O'Hearn (Somers, Conn.), who led the Blazers in scoring with 24 points on a team-high 10 goals with four assists. A two-time Player of the Week selection, ranked third in the conference in points and fourth in goals.
