NASHUA, N.H. - The Elms College women's soccer team erupted offensively in a 10-0 victory over host Daniel Webster College in a New England Collegiate Conference match at Eagle Field Wednesday afternoon. Elms has nine different players record goals in the win.

The Blazers wasted little time drawing first blood as junior defender Lyndsey Oppenheimer (Easthampton, Mass.) delivered an unassisted strike in the third minute of play, to give Elms the 1-0 advantage. Just over two minutes later, sophomore defender Kylen O'Hearn extended her point streak to five games, scoring off a pass from freshman midfielder Jackie Soucia (Belchertown, Mass.).

In the 27th minute, freshman midfielder Mackenzie Larochelle (Chicopee, Mass.) registered her first career goal with a tally from a feed by junior defender Michelle Rossignol (Manchester, Conn.) to make it a 3-0 game. Freshman midfielder Madison Jung (Stafford Springs, Conn.) followed Larochelle's lead by netting her first career goal with 14:55 remaining in the first half. Freshman midfielder Erica Van Ness (Agawam, Mass.) closed out the first half scoring for the Blazers with a goal in the 42nd minute, staking Elms to a 5-0 lead at the break.

Soucia reignited the Blazers offense in the 57th minute of play with an unassisted goal. With 25:53 left in the contest, Elms rattled off a trio of goals in a six-minute span, starting with a tally from freshman defender Arianna Santiago-Sullivan (Willimantic, Conn.), the first of her career, followed by strikes from sophomore midfielder Meeghan O'Connor (Fall River, Mass.) and Larochelle, her second of the day. Elms capped off the onslaught in the 84th minute as freshman forward Katie Ledoux (Springfield, Mass.) netted her first career goal to secure the 10-0 victory for the Blazers.

The Blazers stout defensive backfield held the Eagles to zero shots during the contest, while Elms managed 29 shots. Blazers junior goalkeeper Alexa Rinaudo (Bellmore, N.Y.) recorded her eight shutout of the season, while the goalkeeping duo of freshmen Amanda Dargee (Melbourne, Fla.) and Shannon Grigas (Nashua, N.H.) combined for nine saves for Daniel Webster.

Elms improves to 8-8-1 on the season, and 7-1 in the NECC, while Daniel Webster drops to 1-13 overall, and 0-8 in NECC play.
