Men's Soccer Shuts Out Becker

LEICESTER, Mass.-The Elms College men's soccer team shut down host Becker College, 3-0, in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) contest at Alumni Field Friday evening. The win lifts the Blazers record to 6-10 (4-1 NECC) while the Hawks slide to 3-13 (0-5 NECC).

Elms jumped on the board 11:32 into the game when Babba Jaden (Clarkston, Ga.) gathered a rebound from a Shaquille Robinson (New York, N.Y.) shot, putting it back for his 12th goal of the season.  Elms added to their lead 49 seconds later, on a play that mirrored the first goal. A Shaquille Robinson shot fell at the feet of Babba Jaden who ripped a shot into the top left corner of the Hawks net.

Michael Campos (Naugatuck, Conn.) capped off the scoring in the 35th minute when he scored on a beautiful shot with his back to the net, making the final score 3-0.

Elms goalie AJ Olivera (Beacon Falls, Conn.) earned his second shutout of the season after turning away three shots. Sam Majewski (Warren, Mass.)  and Devin Ramos (Warwick, R.I.) split the game in net, combining to make five stops.

Both teams return to NECC action on Wednesday, October 25th at 4:00 p.m. Becker will host Dean College while Elms welcomes Newbury College.
