Chicopee, MA – The Elms College men's basketball team dripped a non-conference game on Tuesday night to Trinity College at Picknelly Arena.
THE BASICS:
Score: Elms 89, Trinity 65
Records: Elms (2-19, 2-13 GNAC) Trinity (14-8, 4-5 NESCAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Elms came out strong against their NESCAC opponent, jumping out to a 15-5 lead. Tahquell Cadle (Bridgeport, CT) scored 11 points in the first 20 minutes, as the Bantams and the Blazers were tied 34-34 at the break.
Trinity led, 49-48 with 13:28 on the clock when the visitors hit back-to-back treys to ignite a Bantam run. A made layup by Jaijuan Macklin (Sayreville, NJ) cut the deficit to 12, however the visitors outscored Elms, 38-15, over the final 12 minutes taking the non-conference game 89-65.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Cadle led the Blazers in scoring with 15 points and added 11 rebounds
- Macklin pitched in with 14 points off the bench
