Mathis Scores 1,000 Career Points

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College men’s basketball senior forward Javon Mathis (East Hartford, Conn.) has collected 1,017 points during his collegiate career that includes two seasons at Newbury College, and two with the Blazers.

Mathis, who had exactly 1,000 points entering Thursday’s contest at Daniel Webster College, scored 298 points during his junior season, and has totaled 234 points so far this season, giving him 532 points as a Blazer.

Mathis started his collegiate career at Newbury as a freshman, and scored a total of 485 points with the Nighthawks, 418 of them coming during his sophomore season in 2007-08.
