Men’s Basketball’s Maldonado Named Second Team All-NABC Northeast District

ST. LOUIS – Elms College senior point guard Juan Maldonado (Holyoke, Mass.) was named Second Team All-National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Northeast District as recently announced by the organization.

Maldonado, who was recently named Second-Team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), was also the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Year and a First Team All-NECC selection.

Maldonado became the program’s all-time leading scorer during the 2009-10 season and will graduate with 1,686 career points. During his four-year basketball career he helped lead the Blazers to their sixth consecutive 20-plus win season, their sixth straight conference title and their first-ever ECAC championship. Maldonado scored 525 points during the 2009-10 season and shot an amazing 45.5-percent from beyond the arc this season.
