Maldonado Named ECAC Division III New England All-Star

CAPE COD, Mass. - Elms College senior point guard Juan Maldonado (Holyoke, Mass.) was recently named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England All-Star second team as announced by the organization.

Maldonado, who was recently named Second Team All-National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Northeast District, and second-Team All-ECAC, was the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Year and a First Team All-NECC selection. 

Maldonado became the program’s all-time leading scorer during the 2009-10 season and will graduate with 1,686 career points. During his four-year basketball career he helped lead the Blazers to their sixth consecutive 20-plus win season, their sixth straight conference title and their first-ever ECAC championship. Maldonado scored 525 points during the 2009-10 season and shot an amazing 45.5-percent from beyond the arc this season.
