Men’s Basketball Selected To Compete In ECAC Championship

CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Elms College
men’s basketball team was selected to compete in the 2009-10
Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship tournament
as the second seed in the eight-team field as announced by the
organization on Monday.
Elms (21-6) will host No. 7 Curry College (15-13) on Wednesday,
March 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Picknelly Arena. Curry suffered a
heartbreaking 56-54 loss to Gordon College in The Commonwealth
Coast Conference (TCCC) Championship on Saturday.
Elms defeated Becker College in the New England Collegiate
Conference (NECC) Championship title game on Saturday and has now
won six straight conference championships. The squad has also won
20 or more games in each of the last six seasons.
