The Pride outpointed the Blazers, 7-6, down the stretch to capture the 25-16 win.

The Pride led wire-to-wire in the second set, jumping to a 9-2 lead on kills from Veasey, Carter and Trusty. Elms used strikes from Redding and Adams to cut the gap to 10-5, but Regis junior Nicole Connolly (San Mateo, Calif.) served up a pair of aces to regain a 13-6 lead. Elms freshman Gabby Holland (East Longmeadow, Mass.) delivered back-to-back kills until a kill and ace from Carter put the Pride on top 23-13, followed up by another strike by Carter to lock up the 25-16 win.

A pair of kills from Veasey gave the Pride a 2-1 lead in the final set. The Blazers chipped away with kills from Adams and junior Kate Moriarty (Agawam, Mass.) to make it a 9-6 match. Regis developed a cushion on the scoreboard with an 11-4 run, powered by a trio of aces from Veasey, to race to a 20-10 lead. Redding and Adams added late strike for Elms, but the Pride closed out the match with a kill from Trusty and an ace from Connolly to collect the 25-13 win.

Redding led the Blazers efforts with a team-high six kills and six digs. Adams added five kills, five digs and two aces, while Holland and Moriarty tallied three kills each. Campbell dished out 16 assists, and sophomore Caroline Locke (West Springfield, Mass.) grabbed a team-high seven digs.
