Chicopee, MA - The Elms College women's lacrosse team dropped a tight home game to New England College (13-9) Tuesday night on Leary Field. The loss puts the Blazers at 1-1 on the young season.
Elms opened up the scoring 27th minute off a free position goal from Elise Paier (West Springfield, MA). The Pilgrims would answer with five straight goals and take a (5-1) lead into the half.
The second half saw 16 combined goals with each team scoring 8 apiece. After a goal from Taylor Borla (Southington, CT) off an Erienne Dowe (Somers, Conn.) assist, the Blazers closed the gap to (10-8); however that was as close as Elms would get.
