NECC Softball Pairings Announced

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Elms College softball team finished the 2011 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) season with a 14-2 record and earned the second seed and a first round bye in this year's championship tournament.

Lesley University claimed the top seed for the tournament after playing to a 16-0 NECC record in 2011. Tournament action begins with quarterfinal matchups on Tuesday, May 3. 

Elms will take on the winner of No. 6 Daniel Webster College and third-seeded Mitchell College at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6 at the University of Massachusetts-Boston.

Quarterfinals • Tuesday, May 3
Game 1-No. 6 Daniel Webster (7-17, 5-11) at No. 3 Mitchell (13-7, 10-6), 4:00 p.m.
Game 2-No. 5 Newbury (9-22, 9-7) at No. 4 Becker (14-20, 10-6), 4:00 p.m.
