Men’s Soccer Falls To Daniel Webster College, 4-0

NASHUA, N.H. – Elms College junior goalkeeper Andrew Sullivan (Agawam, Mass.) recorded 10 saves, but a goal and two assists from Daniel Webster College's Michael Lohr (Chepachet, R.I.) paced the Eagles to a 4-0 victory over the Blazers in Saturday afternoon's New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's soccer game at Eagle Field in Nashua, N.H.

With the loss, Elms concludes its season 2-13-2 overall, 1-5-1 in league action. Daniel Webster improves to 10-5-1 on the season, 5-2 in NECC play.

Thirteen minutes into the contest Lohr put Daniel Webster ahead with a corner kick that sailed into the top right corner of the net off his foot.

At the 32:55 mark, Spencer Bernard (Windsor Locks, Conn.) controlled a pass from Elliot Kilgore (Milford, N.H.) and scored the first of his two goals in the game, giving the Eagles a 2-0 advantage at halftime.

Daniel Webster opened up the scoring in the second half in the 60th minute when Lohr lofted a pass to Bernard who headed it into the top left corner of the net to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead.

Kilgore capped the scoring when he received a through ball from Lohr and fired a shot into the net to extend the lead to 4-0.

Sullivan made five saves in each period in the losing effort while senior midfielder Sam Senecal (Chicopee, Mass.), junior forward Jonathan Coyne (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Nzigamasa Jonathan (Springfield, Mass.) each tallied a shot on goal for Elms.

Kilgore and Mirza Salihovic (Manchester, N.H.) each notched three shots on target in the winning effort while goalkeeper Joe Keene (Bristol, N.H.) registered three saves.
