HOW IT HAPPENED

At the start of the first half, we would see Albertus score the first points on the board. After they put up 9 points, junior guard Aden Goffe (New Haven, Conn,) would make a three point jump shot, which would be the first points for Elms. After Elms fouls Albertus, junior forward RJ Mayfield (Springfield, Mass.) would make a jump shot. Then senior guard/forward Aaron Sanchez (the Bronx, N.Y.) would make a defensive rebound, which gave sophomore guard Andrew Ciaglo (Hadley, Mass.) the opportunity to make a three point jump shot that was assisted by Goffe. Goffe would make another three point jump shot that was assisted by Ciaglo. After the Falcons put up some more puts, sophomore guard Jaiden Lopez (Lebanon, Conn.) was able to make an offensive rebound and would make a layup for the Blazers. That would be followed by another layup made by junior forward Adam Sarlan (Chicopee, Mass.). Then, Albertus would foul Goffe who would make one out of the two free throw attempts. After back and forth possession, Goffe would be fouled again and made both free throw attempts. Followed by another foul on Goffe and once again made both free throw attempts. After the Falcons put more points on the board, Goffe got fouled again and made two out of the two free throw attempts. Then Lopez would make a three point jump shot, making the score 36-25, Albertus. Then Goffe would steal the ball, which gave Lopez the opportunity to make a layup. Then Goffe would steal the ball again, but graduate student forward Neilon Bridgeman (Brooklyn, N.Y.) would be fouled and he would make both free throw attempts. After another foul, Mayfield would make one out of the two free throw attempts. Once again, the Falcons would foul the Blazers, but the Blazers would capitalize and Goffe would make both free throw attempts. After another foul, senior forward/ center Addison Phifer (Hadley, Mass.) would make one free throw attempt out of the two and then would make a jump shot. That would be the last points made by Elms in the opening half and the Falcons would hold the lead 53-35.

At the start of the second half of play, the Falcons would once again put the first points on the board, but would foul Sanchez who would make both free throw attempts. After back and forth possession, Mayfield gets an offensive rebound, which would put him in the position to make a layup. Then, Bridgeman would get a block and pass it to Mayfield, who then made a layup for the Blazers. Goffe would make a jump shot, but then would steal the ball, pass it to Mayfield and he would make a dunk. After a team offensive rebound made by Elms, Goffe would make another layup, which was followed by a layup made by Sarlan. While Albertus would put more points on the board, it didn't stop Elms. Sarlan would make a defensive rebound that would give Phifer the opportunity for a layup, which was assisted by junior center/guard/forward Edgardo Jacob Cancel (Northampton, Mass.). After back and forth possession, Cancel was able to make another layup for the Blazers. Then the Falcons would foul Cancel, who would make one out of the two free throw attempts. The Falcons continued to put up more points, but then sophomore forward/center Lawton Ackah-Yensu (Cape Coast, Ghana) would make a layup. Phifer would get an offensive rebound, which allowed him to tip the ball into the basket. Then Albertus would foul Lopez, who would make both free throw attempts. Which was followed by Cancel making a layup. Albertus would foul Elms again, but this time it was first year forward Daniel Villanueva (Seymour, Conn.), who would make one out of the two free throw attempts. After the Falcons score some more points, they would foul Cancel, who would also only make one out of the two free throw attempts. Then Villanueva would make a jump shot, which was followed by a foul made by Albertus. This time it was against senior guard Taje Green (Palm Bay, Fla.) who made one out of the two free throw attempts. Then Villanueva would steal the ball from Albertus which gave Elms the ball. During this possession Lopez would pass the ball to Cancel and he would make a layup. Unfortunately, this would be the last points for the Blazers. Albertus would take home the win 103-69.
