Three Players Named All-NECC in Men’s Basketball

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College guard Andre French (Torrington, Conn.) and junior forward Kenny Lockett (Atlanta, Ga.) were each named First Team All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) and senior forward Isaiah Odunlami (Providence, R.I.) earned second team honors as announced by the league office on Monday.

French was named First Team All-NECC for the third consecutive season. The graduate student guard, who will graduate as the program's second all-time leading scorer, averaged 18.1 points per game, 4.9 assists per game, 2.6 steals per game and hit on 37.3-percent of his field goal attempts (33.3-percent from three-point range) and 78.2-percent from the stripe during the 2013-14 campaign. For the second straight season, he helped pace the Blazers to the top seed in the NECC Championship tournament.

Joining French on the all-conference first team is Lockett.  Lockett, who earned his first NECC postseason accolade this season, was outstanding for the Blazers through 16 conference games, averaging 16.5 points per contest and 10.6 rebounds per game ranking second in the NECC in field goal percentage and rebounds. Lockett shot 61.6-percent from the field and a stellar 81.5-percent from the free throw line during league action this season, helping the Blazers to a 12-4 record in the NECC.

Odunlami was named Second Team All-NECC, earning his first postseason conference honor. Odunlami started all 16 league games for the Blazers and averaged 16.1 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per contest against NECC competition in 2013-14. He shot 46.2-percent from the field and 66.4-percent from the free throw line and scored in double figures in all 16 of Elms' NECC tilts this season.
