Men’s Basketball Tops 2013-14 NECC Preseason Poll

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Elms College men's basketball team is slated to finish first in the 2013 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Preseason Poll as announced by the league office on Monday.

Three teams, Elms, Regis College and Mitchell College, received first place votes and finished within a few points of each other at the top of the poll.

Elms, the defending NECC champion, was the coaches top choice with 71 points and five first place votes. Under the direction of first-year head coach Rob Southall, the Blazers will look to defend their conference crown blendinga mix of returners and host of newcomers in an up-tempo style of play. Junior forward Kenneth Lockett (Atlanta, Ga.) and senior forward Isaiah Odunlami (Pawtucket, R.I.) will lead the front court for Elms.
