Dmochowski Named GNAC Goalie of the Week for the Second Time This Season

WINTHROP, MA - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced their weekly award selections for the week ending on March 31th, Monday evening.

Elms College athletes received one award in men's lacrosse and five honor roll selections in baseball, men's lacrosse, and volleyball. 

First-year Casey Dmochowski (Rutland, MA) collected two victories in the cage for the Blazers. In non-conference action against Salem State, he collected 18 saves and would follow up in GNAC action against Albertus Magnus with 13 saves.

Five individuals were selected in their respective sports. In baseball, sophomore Colby Arnold (Waterford, CT) and senior CJ Moriarty (Glastonbury, CT) were selected to this week's honor roll. Arnold picked up the win, allowing just one run on two hits and a walk against Lesley and also struck out three batters in the 5-2 victory. Moriarty batted .471/.471/.529 with four straight two-hit games and drove in six runs and scored once in four contests In men's lacrosse, sophomore Connor Tobin (Dalton, MA) scored six goals and collected nine ground balls in two wins this week. In men's volleyball, graduate students Pedro De Jesus (East Hartford, CT) and Collin Liedke (Newington, CT) were named to the honor after De Jesus averaged 5.00 kills per set with a .304 hitting percentage as Elms went 1-2 in a trio of conference matches and three service aces and Liedke had 20+ assists in all three contests for Elms this week, averaging 8.89 assists per set with 30 digs for a 3.33 digs per set.
