Chicopee, MA - The Elms College Women's Basketball Team dropped a home game Wednesday night, 79-53 to Eastern Nazarene College.
The Blazers clung to a one-point edge, 21-20, after a strong first quarter.
The visitors erupted for 26 points in the second period while limiting Elms to just nine points to hold a 47-29 advantage at the break.
The third quarter saw back and forth action with both teams tallying 15 points. The Lions carried an 18-point lead into the fourth quarter, 62-44.
The visitors outscored Elms 17-9 in the final 10 minutes of play to lock up the victory.
The Lions finished with a field-goal percentage of 45.3% while draining 4-of-10 three-point attempts on the night. The Blazers shot 28.6% from the floor and connected on 2-of-7 from behind the arc in the game.
McKenzie Huria (Terryville, CT) paced Elms with nine points while Angelica Peguero-Flores (Springfield, MA) poured in eight points and first year Rahmia Johnston (Trumbull, CT) added seven points off the bench.
