Denisha Parks ’15 Named to New England All-Decade Team

Chicopee, MA. – Former Elms College women’s basketball stand-out Denisha Parks (Fall River MA) nabbed a significant honor from her playing days with the Blazers. Parks earned her place on the Noontime Sports Massachusetts All-Decade Div. III Fourth Team.

Parks, who has been an assistant coach for the Clark University Cougars over the past four seasons while serving as interim head coach in 2018-19, enjoyed a decorated career as a student-athlete as she set over ten school records for the Elms women's basketball program. Her play helped lead the Blazers to three consecutive New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship appearances, including the program’s first-ever NCAA tournament berth in 2011-12.

Parks also picked up a bevy of individual recognitions as she was named Rookie of the Year by the NECC, the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC), and the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) in 2011-12. In the years to follow, the forward added back-to-back NECC Player of the Year awards in 2013-14 and 2014-15 while also earning First-Team All-Conference recognition all four seasons played with the Blazers.
